This guide explains how to migrate native Facebook blocks to Webpage blocks. Steps for the migration are shown separately for each type of Facebook functionality.


 


Block: Facebook

This example uses the Facebook page of AppMachine.


  1. Open the Facebook page you wish to display in your webbrowser.
  2. Copy the Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/
  3. Add a Webpage block to your app.
  4. Enter the URL of the Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/


 


Block: Events - Facebook

This example uses the Facebook page of AppMachine.


  1. Open the Facebook page you wish to display in your webbrowser.
  2. Copy the Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/
  3. Add a Webpage block to your app.
  4. Enter the URL of the Facebook page and add /events to the end of the URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/events


 


Block: Photos - Facebook

This example uses the Facebook page of AppMachine.


  1. Open the Facebook page you wish to display in your webbrowser.
  2. Copy the Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/
  3. Add a Webpage block to your app.
  4. Enter the URL of the Facebook page and add /photos to the end of the URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/photos


 


Block: Videos - Facebook

This example uses the Facebook page of AppMachine.


  1. Open the Facebook page you wish to display in your webbrowser.
  2. Copy the Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/
  3. Add a Webpage block to your app.
  4. Enter the URL of the Facebook page and add /videos to the end of the URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/videos


 


Block: Opening Hours

This example uses the Facebook page of AppMachine.


  1. Open the Facebook page you wish to display in your webbrowser.
  2. Copy the Facebook page URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/
  3. Add a Webpage block to your app.
  4. Enter the URL of the Facebook page and add /about to the end of the URL: https://www.facebook.com/AppMachine/about

Note: 

No Facebook App ID and secret needed anymore for these blocks, so you could remove those if you want. If you still use User management > login via facebook you will still need those credentials.
